Focus on sustainable production

IFF in Grindsted is the world’s largest carbon neutral emulsifier factory. The factory employs 500 employees composed of skilled and unskilled process operators, craftsmen, lab technicians and engineers.

IFF primarily produces ingredients for the food industry such as emulsifiers, enzymes, antioxidants, and protective cultures, which are based on sustainably certified natural ingredients. Based on a principle of sustainability the ingredients give the products a better texture and longer shelf-life to reduce food waste. The company is focused on optimising all processes to use fewer resources and reuse energy. On a monthly basis IFF supply around 100,000 tonnes to its customers. On a global scale the ingredients from IFF can be found in every two industrially produced ice cream, every third cheese and in every fourth loaf of bread.
